Tour 1.

Moscow - Sergiev Posad - Rostov - Yaroslavl - Suzdal - Vladimir - Moscow

Day 1. The acquaintanceship with the cities of Central Russia begins with Moscow, the capital of the country. In the morning you'll see with valuable collection of Pushkin museum or Tretiyakovskaya Art gallery, then you'll make a night city tour of Moscow. You'll see the city relaxed after the day's rush. From the observation platform on Vorobiyovs Hills the whole Moscow will stretch before you in all its beauty as if on the palm of your hand. After the city tour you'll have welcome supper in your hotel with traditional dishes of Russian cuisine accompanied by Russian folk music.

Day 2. After breakfast you'll move 70 km from Moscow in a comfortable bus to the real pearl of The Golden Ring of Russia - Sergiev Posad. On your way to Sergiev Posad you'll pass by several interesting historical places: Pushkino (an old Russian settlement), village Vozdvizhenskoye, Radonezh town, famous farmstead Abramtsevo ( large artistic and theatrical center of 19 century).

Sergiev Posad was founded in the 14 century round the treasury of Orthodox Church architecture - the Trinity Sergiev Lavra. The monastery nowadays is one of the largest museums of the country. You'll be charmed by the beauty and grander of the church implements, Russian icon paintings, articles of national Russian trades.

  

On the territory of the Trinity Monastery you'll visit with the following historical places:

The Holy Gates, lead into the monastery, surrounding walls consist of 11 towers.

The Trinity Cathedral: one of the oldest temples of the Lavra where the relics of St. Sergiy Radonezsky is kept.

The Assumption Cathedral: the central cathedral of the Lavra.

After dinner of a traditional Russian cuisine you'll set off for Rostov- the- Great. Rostov is one of the most interesting cities on our route. In Rostov you are to visit a famous Rostov Kremlin built on the shore of lake Nero. It is in Rostov where the largest and the richest temples of Russia are situated. To your attention are Assumption Cathedral of Rostov, Spaso-Yakovlevskiy Monastery, Temple of Spas-na-Senyach, the walls of which are covered with fresco painting. Visiting the Great Duke's towers and palaces you'll learn about the way of living of the Russian Great Dukes and clergy and in the Kremlin museums you'll see the treasures of crafts and patterns art, well known Rostov finift.

The tender sound of Rostov's belfry is heard all round the city , the sound is so clean and beautiful that you'll have a desire to bring its magic tunes home recorded on the tape or CD.

Only 60 km parts Rostov from another treasury of Russia - Yaroslavl city. After the arrival in Yaroslavl you'll make a city tour.

Day 3. After breakfast your program in Yaroslavl the Great continues. It is one of the oldest Russian cities on the Volga river, where the historical background wonderfully harmonizes with the present day. Here you'll visit Spasskiy monastery, the church of Iliya the Prophet, the graves of Russian Great Dukes and many other places. A few kilometers away from the city lies another Russian sanctuary - Togs female monastery , one of the most interesting architectural monuments of the Russian Orthodox Church.

The old city is famous for its wonderful museums, visit to which will help you to enjoy rich icon collections, church implements, Russian home utensils, old china, pictures of well known Russian painters. You'll spend an unforgettable day in Yaroslavl.

After lunch we'll set off for Suzdal - a city of churches and temples. After the arrival - supper with traditional Russian cuisine dishes and free time in hotel.

Day 4. The day begins with city tour. There are 33 churches, 5 monasteries in the city. During the day you'll make a stroll round the city's Kremlin, visit the Rozhdestvenskiy Cathedral, the Bishop's cells, the Spaso-Efimievsky Cathedral and a few of the city's museums. After lunch - departure to Vladimir.

Vladimir is the pearl of the Golden Ring. There are more than 100 monuments of architecture here, the most interesting of which are the White stone architecture monuments. The city is founded by the Kiev Great Duke Vladimir Monomackh and bears his name.

Day 5. After breakfast - a city tour of Vladimir. You will visit the treasures of the world architecture - Church Pokrova - na - Nerli, the Assumption and Dmitrievskiy Cathedral which are pride of this land. In the Assumption Cathedral you'll see frescoes of the genial Andrey Rublyov. The Golden Gates are the symbol of the city and a unique monument of military architecture. Returning to Moscow .

Day 6. After breakfast the members of our competent staff will accompany you to the flight of the desired air company.
